About The Founder
Hi, I’m Kirsten, the Founder and Lead Planner of The Tropical Code! I’m thrilled you are planning your wedding in this amazing country that I now call home!
Over the past ten years, I’ve planned hundreds of events, and my background is vast and robust. From large corporate events all over the United States, including movie premiers, event tours for a fleet of food trucks, intricate off-roading courses, car shows, I’ve done it all.
In 2015, I traded the rainy skies of Seattle for sunnier ones when I came to Costa Rica for vacation and fell in love with the country. When I arrived in Costa Rica, I planned weddings for a boutique event planning company and then became the Wedding & Event Manager for the Four Seasons Resort, where I planned 4+ high-end events per month!
After my time at the Four Seasons, I decided to open my own wedding planning and event design company in order to help couples just like you! I now live in Costa Rica year-round and am based between the beautiful beaches of Playa Tamarindo and Escazu in Costa Rica’s capitol with my goldendoodle, Wookie, and my family.
