While it translates to “pure life,” the more practical definition would be “don’t worry, it will be alright,” but it’s also used to say hello, everything’s great, or everything’s cool. Pura Vida is a way of life in Costa Rica. Things run a lot slower and are far less stressful than in many other countries. If things take some time, just put a smile on and enjoy the experience.
